About Us: Clinton R. Strong
Clinton R. Strong Founder and Managing Partner
connectrac™
Clinton R. Strong’s extensive architectural and design experience in both new construction and major renovation projects has given him unique insight into the special needs, issues and limitations of office connectivity options from both the designer/builder and user perspectives. In his 18 years as a registered architect, Strong has been both architect and/or project manager in more than 65 major commercial, residential, specialty and mixed-use design and build projects in the greater Dallas area and across the United States.
Since becoming a professional architect in 1989, Strong has worked for several architectural services firms in Lawrence, Kansas, and later in Dallas. In 1998, he formed his own firm, Strong Architects, and focused on commercial and residential projects in the Dallas Metroplex. His previous clients include Sun Microsystems, MCI Telecommunications, Bank One, Southwestern Bell, Daltile, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Theater Center and numerous residences.
While working with many of his commercial clients, Strong identified the need for a more designer/builder- and user–friendly electrical connectivity solution. As a result, he developed an innovative, floor–mounted electrical raceway system, connectrac™, and started his own company in 2004 to develop, manufacture and market the product.
Strong has bachelor’s degrees in architecture from the University of Kansas and in business administration from the University of Oklahoma. In addition, he has completed coursework in real estate management, appraisal, financing and reconstruction principles at the New York University Real Estate Institute.
A member of the American Institute of Architects, Strong is a registered architect in Texas, Kansas and Arkansas and has been certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is an active volunteer in civic organizations, such as Preservation Dallas and the Old Oak Cliff Conservation League.
